Two researchers from Oxford and Berlin to receive seed funding for an investigation of Christian flamenco music and religious experiences
Dr Antonio Montañes Jimenez, University of Oxford, and Dr Mats Küssner, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin are among the the 2024 British Academy and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Knowledge Frontiers Symposium seed funding awardees. They will receive an award of £4955 for their project 'Exploring the entanglement of Christian flamenco music and religious experiences: A multi-method approach'

Scientists from Oxford and Berlin come together for workshop series
The recent efforts of Prof. Peter Neubauer and Prof. Moritz Riede, Vice Presidents of the Oxford Berlin Research Partnership in STEM, led up to a series of meetings and workshops in science and technology, which took place in the last week of October at Oxford. The events focused on establishing foundational approaches for stronger collaboration among researchers from BUA and Oxford, and exploring synergies across work groups.

Lecture Course on Neutrino Physics between Oxford and Berlin
A lecture course “Neutrino Physics and Astrophysics” has been co-organized by the physics departments/institutes of the University of Oxford (Prof. Armin Reichold) and the Humboldt University Berlin (Priv.-Doz. Dr. Walter Winter, also scientist at DESY), financially supported by the Oxford Berlin Research Partnership. Altogether ten students from HU Berlin, three from FU and TU Berlin (to which the programme was also open) and nine from Oxford University were admitted, all at the Master’s or PhD levels.
