The project “AfterWords” is dedicated to German poetry of the 20th and 21st centuries. The focus lies on the aspect of temporality in poetry – in contrast to the aspect of space, which has dominated literary theory for many decades. In this interview, Leeder talks about the “After Words” project, and about the concept of afterness, which in literary studies describes describes a feeling of coming after, of always being too late and being depedent on what has gone before.
