On 28 September, Professor Kroemer and Dr Magnus Rüde, Executive Secretary of the Board, started off their tour with a visit of Oxford University Press, followed by a meeting with Bodley's Librarian Richard Ovenden and a tour of the Bodleian Library.

This was followed by a productive exchange with Oxford’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Irene Tracey, and the Pro-Vice Chancellor Development & External Affairs, Professor David Gann, as well as further meetings with colleagues from the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine in the afternoon. A meeting with representatives of the Big Data Institute identified many promising potentials for possible future cooperation with the Charité.
