In the August colloquium session, Veronika Weiß, research associate of the Human-Centered Computing group at Freie Universität Berlin (project leader: Prof. Dr. Claudia Müller-Birn), will introduce the project Co-creation workshops for BUA's digital research space and present first interim results.

The goal of the project is to build a platform that provides a digital research space for exploring and curating BUA's digital resources, e.g. research data, publications and possibly other resources, using AI methods. This is not intended to replace any current systems, but rather to optimize the use of BUA resources. It is anticipated that the emerging BUA-tailored digital research space will increase the openness, integrity, and reproducibility of scientific research at Berlin University Alliance institutions.

The concept of co-creation workshops pursued in the project follows the participatory approach of allowing people with non-technical expertise to participate in the design of software systems.

The colloquium addresses scientists of all status groups as well as interested people from all scientific and non-scientific areas. The session will be held in German.

The colloquium is organized within the framework of Objective Advancing Research Quality and Value. It always takes place on the last Wednesday of the month from 14:00 to 15:30.
