Training Early Career Scientists to Use Meta-Research to Improve Science: A Student-Guided “Learn by Doing” Approach
Online-Colloquium
Dr. Tracey Weissgerber, Senior Postdoc at the Berlin Institute of Health, will present her Project „Training Early Career Scientists to Use Meta-Research to Improve Science: A Student-Guided ‘Learn by Doing’ Approach“. The aim of this project is to create a course for the BUA partners’ Phd students that uses Meta-Research to identify, understand and solve problems in research. This course is designed to apply to all disciplines represented at the institutions of the BUA.
In her presentation, Dr. Weissgerber will provide a brief overview of the project that the students have been working on, as well as techniques and strategies for running a successful participant guided, learn-by-doing course. Last but not least, there will be a discussion of the ‘lessons learned’ so far.
The Colloquium addresses researchers of all status groups and disciplines as well as interested parties from the non-academic areas.
The talk will be held in English language.
