Who can apply?
- Junior researchers from the four partner institutions of the Berlin University Alliance: Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Applicants can include doctoral candidates, postdocs, and junior professors from all disciplines who are interested in conducting joint research with students.
- However, junior researchers from other Berlin institutions (e.g. from non-university research institutions, from universities of applied scienes) are also explicitly invited to participate in the call for proposals. The requirement is that there is or will be an affiliation to one of the four partner institutions, e.g. if applicants are doing their doctorate at one of the four universities, if there is a collaboration or some other form of connection.
- The joint research should be linked to a current research project of the junior researchers. This might be including, for example, all research projects of the Berlin partner institutions. Dissertations of doctoral candidates should be clearly distinguished from research conducted in X-Student Research Groups.
