Questions about the Call for Papers
All students from Germany and all disciplines can submit a paper presenting their own research and the results obtained. The student research may have been conducted as part of a course, as part of a thesis (e.g. Bachelor's or Master's thesis), or as part of other student initiatives.
Contributions can be submitted as an individual, in tandem or as a team. However, grants for travel and accommodation costs can only be awarded for a maximum of two students per contribution.
As a conference with an international character, students from the strategic partnerships of the Berlin University Alliance can also submit a contribution to StuFo 2022. These include the University of Oxford, the University of Melbourne, and the National University of Singapore. Separate scholarships are possible here.
The contributions are reviewed in a double-blind review process.
Reviewers are the members of the program committee supported by other researchers and students from the context of the Student Research Opporutinites Program (StuROPx) of the Berlin University Alliance. Ideally, all contributions will be reviewed by a student.
The basis of the review is a set of defined review criteria, which are evaluated via a point system (0-3 points).
Students whose contribution has been accepted will receive a travel allowance for their journey to Berlin. The prerequisite for this is that they are enrolled at a German university outside of Berlin. Only one subsidy for travel and accommodation costs can be granted per contribution. This means: If the contribution is submitted in tandem or as a team, a grant for travel and accommodation costs can only be awarded once. Of course, it is possible to split this grant between several persons.
Students from universities within Berlin are not eligible for travel grants.
The same applies to students from outside Germany. Here, too, travel grants are not possible. An exception here are the strategic partnerships of the Berlin University Alliance: the University of Oxford, the University of Melbourne and the National University of Singapore. Separate scholarships are possible here.
The amount of the travel allowance is based on the state of the home university. Depending on the state, a flat rate is created and paid. Original receipts of tickets are not required. Students will receive the travel grant by wire transfer after the conference. Account information and signatures are expected to be collected during the registration process at the conference itself.
