The Objective 3 Colloquium Goes on Christmas Break
...and continues on 28 February 2024!
News from Dec 06, 2023
The colloquium of the Advancing Research Quality and Value focus area closed this year in November as it has started: with a discussion on the topic of recognition and evaluation of scientific performance, led by Amelya Keles and Felix Hambitzer from the Student Network for Open Science. This topic will continue to be of central importance for Objective 3 in 2024.
The next lecture in the colloquium will also touch upon this question in a broader sense, when Professor Cyrus Mody, Maastricht University, presents the ERC Synergy Grant-funded project "Nanobubbles" (https://nanobubbles.hypotheses.org/). The project examines the question of why it is so difficult to correct the scientific "record" and how scientists deal with conflicting evidence. Further information on the lecture can be found under the date announcements of Objective 3.
In January 2024, the colloquium will take place as an internal event for members of Objective 3 only. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you again on February 28, 2024 for the lecture by Cyrus Mody.
Until then, we wish you a happy holiday season!
