The European Commission’s scoping report “Process Towards an Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment (2021)” proposes an internationally coordinated approach based on principles and measures to contribute to the question of how to design an academic assessment system that adequately captures and promotes the plurality of diverse disciplines, the multidimensionality of scientific work and scientific outputs, the quality of research and its impact, and open science practices.

The Berlin University Alliance is one of more than 250 institutions participating in this process.
