Duration: since 01/2021.
The project aims at a systematic overview of empirical research on Open Science. A team is collecting the literature since 2000 and coding it along five variables: open science practice, method, discipline, target groups studied, countries studied. The focus is on empirical research to capture the uptake and use of Open Science in a variety of contexts of the research process and publication of results. Thus, the Survey provides data for science research, science management, and science policy. The Survey data are available open source on Zenodo. An initial data paper from 2022 describes the data set from 2000 to 2020.
