This episode of the Migration Oxford Podcast joins the ongoing debate about the changing political landscape in Germany and the United States. The episode was recorded in January 2025 and looks at Germany before the election, and the US after the election, when new approaches to immigration policy played a major role in both countries.
The idea for this episode with Tarik Abou Chadi (University of Oxford) and Naika Foroutan (HU and DeZIM) was developed by Gökce Yurdakul as part of a collaboration between the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS), University of Oxford, and the Berlin Institute for Migration and Integration Research (BIM), funded by the Oxford Berlin Research Partnership.
