Lecture series: Diversity and Excellence - A Tension Relationship?!
Prof. Maisha Maureen Auma, who held the first DiGENet-Audre Lorde Chair for Intersectional Diversity Studies at the Berlin University Alliance, will give a lecture on Body-Political and Geopolitical Diversity: Limits of the Internationalization Paradigm. Interrogating Somatic Normations of the University De-coloniallyon January 26, 2023, starting at 6 pm at the Technische Universität Berlin in Lecture Hall Room H3007. Maisha Auma is currently a Visiting Professor of Intersectional Diversity Studies at ZIFG, TU Berlin. Since 2008, she has been a Professor of Childhood and Difference (Diversity Studies) at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. Her research interests include diversity in educational materials in East and West Germany, sex education empowerment for Black people and people of color in Germany, critical whiteness studies, anti-Blackness, childhood studies, intersectionality in the context of critical race theory, and racism critique.
