News from May 25, 2022
Together with its strategic partner, the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) will fund a joint Exploration Project starting 1 January, 2023. With its focus on global Health, the BUA follows up on the second Grand Challenge Initiative, which is supporting five Exploration Projects focused on the research location Berlin.
With the outbreak of the pandemic, the need for international cooperation in research has become even more apparent. The diversity of perspectives, experiences and expertise is key to efficiently addressing global challenges. With the BUA-NUS Global Health Exploration Project, BUA and NUS are bringing together their expertise in a complementary way.
The call for proposals is directed at scientists from at least two BUA partners who wish to conduct joint interdisciplinary research with scientists from NUS on an issue relevant to the global health over a period of three years. A total budget of approximately € 1.08 million will be made available for this purpose. The deadline for submission is August 9, 2022, and a letter of intent is to be submitted by June 30, 2022. Funding will begin on 1 January, 2023.
Further information such as the call text and necessary documents can be found on the website of the Exploration Projects.
