Helping at a repair café, working with Students for Future, in the teddy clinic, or as a tutor: Students have many opportunities to get involved in society. During the next two weeks, in the Love Oxford-Berlin Photo Competition, students can share their own photos relating to “engagement” and can win a trip for two to the respective partner city. In October, two students from Berlin will have the chance to go to Oxford, and in June two students from the University of Oxford can come to Berlin for the Long Night of Sciences.
The photos must be posted on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram between February 3 and 16 – in honor of Valentine’s Day – with the hashtags #LoveOXBER and #BerlinUAlliance along with a short description. The competition is open to all students at the University of Oxford, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
The terms of participation can be found on the Love Oxford-Berlin Photo Competition website.
Building bridges across national and institutional borders as well as building bonds in society – with the Love Oxford-Berlin Photo Competition, the five partners of the Oxford/Berlin Research Cooperation (the University of Oxford and the four members of the Berlin University Alliance) want to recognize social engagement. The cooperation builds on the many other connections that currently link research among the five partners – the University of Oxford, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The goal is to further foster research cooperation between Oxford and the Berlin University Alliance.
