With its “Grand Challenge Initiative Global Health”, the Berlin excellence alliance is dedicating itself to areas of research whose aim is to improve the health of all people around the world. As part of their strategic partnership formed in 2018, the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Berlin University Alliance support research projects in this area.
The “Call for Joint Research Proposals – Global Health Initiative” seeks to pool expertise and shape long-term cooperation on relevant key topics. Funding of up to 15,000 euro per project is available for the German project team and up to 20,000 SGD for the partner team in Singapore. The prerequisite for funding is a team application by at least one member of the partner institutions of the Berlin University Alliance and one member from the NUS.
In addition to the health sciences, the main questions and challenges facing the field of global health apply in equal measure to a large number of other research areas including law, environmental science, natural and social sciences, as well as politics, religion, philosophy, materials science, engineering, and communication studies.
