Science communication is one of the three central pillars of the Berlin University Alliance’s Knowledge Exchange strategy. Through this strategy, academic ideas and research results are not only directed outward; external perspectives and experiences are also fed back into research. The call for proposals Experimental Science Communication Laboratories is intended to promote the experimental development and testing of new formats for multidirectional knowledge exchange which goes far beyond the usual press work. The application deadline is October 30, 2020.

In these experimental laboratories, modern and multidirectional science communication in aid of research for the Berlin University Alliance’s joint projects is to be developed and implemented in a thematic, yet cross-institutional context. The call for proposals is aimed at professors, PhD researchers as well as research assistants working on joint research projects of the four Alliance partners – Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

The Berlin University Alliance will support the application process with information and networking meetings, bringing together interested research projects with experts in science communication and partners from the field.
