In Cooperation of #Berlinforschtmit of Berlin University Alliance with New Practice in Art and Technology
How is climate change represented visually and what does this mean for social action? Birgit Schneider is Professor of Cultures of Knowledge and Media Environments at the University of Potsdam and researches climate images and visual climate change communication. With the student initiative Klasse Klima of the Universität der Künste Berlin, she will discuss forms of representation and communication of climate change from a scientific and actionist perspective. The evening will be accompanied by an exhibition of a selection of images and sounds from art and science, compiled by Birgit Schneider.
LOOPS is organised by New Practice in Art and Technology in cooperation with #Berlinforschtmit. The events will also address questions and topics from Berliners collected through #Berlinforschtmit - The Research Forum Berlin Citizens of the Berlin University Alliance.
LOOPS will take place every Thursday evening during the lecture period in 2023. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to talk to the speakers and guests on site at Bar Null.
The event is addressed to (target group): The event will be held in German. Registration is not required.
