In this two-day, methodologically varied workshop, participants will learn aspects of Open Access and scientific publishing (Open Access in practice, funding and financing, publication processes, publication types, quality assurance, copyright and licenses, visibility and reputation). In addition, didactic principles and methods will be taught.

The workshop has a train-the-trainer format: it is aimed at people who are contact persons for questions relating to scientific publishing at an institution or who want to teach the basics of Open Access and scientific publishing in their area of work and create appropriate training courses for this purpose. The workshop is open to all members of the four partners of the Berlin University Alliance.
