Inspired by the Berlin salons of the 18th century, the AnthropoScenes project will host an event series filled with performances, art and science to explore the most pressing water challenges of the 21st century. The performative-discursive evenings will focus on the potential risks and uncertain futures of water in Berlin and Brandenburg. Join musicians such as Kevin Mooney (former bassist of "Adam and the Ants"), dancer Ziv Frenkel and actress Claudia Burckhardt, as well as researchers of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) partners, to engage in conversations about our sustainable water futures. In addition to the rich program, participatory surprises and spontaneous performances await! Light fare and drinks will be provided.
AnthropoScenes: Making Sustainable Futures Public is an Experimental Laboratory for science communication funded by the Berlin University Alliance under Objective 2: Fostering Knowledge Exchange, and is part of the new Einstein Research Unit Climate and Water under Change (CliWaC). The event is a collaboration of the Theater of the Anthropocene, the Integrative Research Institute on Transformations of Human-Environment Systems (IRI THESys) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin.
The event will take place on three evenings from November 26 - 28, 2021 at the Humboldt Labor at the Humboldt Forum, from 6 - 8:30 pm each evening. Please register for one of the three evenings via the Humboldt Forum website.
