APE 2021 „The New Face of Trust“
Under the title "The new face of trust", the 16th APE (Academic Publishing in Europe) conference will be held on January 12 and 13, 2021. It will be carried out completely digitally for the first time. All sessions will be streamed and made available to participants afterwards. The Berlin University Alliance has assumed the patronage of the APE 2021. The conference language is English. Students and researchers will receive discounted tickets.
The Corona pandemic tested academic communication under stress and showed room for improvement, but also inspiration for change. A changing world has led to new solutions and new protagonists – but are these robust and have they been tested with regard to long-term trust? Under the title "The new face of trust", the APE 2021 will address questions relating to future communication, pre-prints, transparency and openness, and trust in both academic publications and the expertise of researchers.
The conference has been held annually since 2006 and is a venue for collegial exchange on academic publishing. The target group includes representatives from publishing houses, academia, research funding, libraries, and technology companies, as well as policymakers.
The regular price for a ticket is 200 euros. There is a reduced price of 75 euros for students, researchers, and all members of the four partner institutions. The conference is organized by the Berlin Institute for Scholarly Publishing (BISP) gGmbH.
