About us
The Alliance Center Electron Microscopy (ACEM) of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) is a jointly supported virtual and interdisciplinary electron microscopy equipment center of Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and is an association of operators of electron microscopes.
The ACEM bundles comprehensive electron microscopy expertise in various disciplines. Electron microscopy is a technique with a broad spectrum of methods and devices that are used in a wide variety of research areas and are continuously being methodically developed.
The ACEM is open to all BUA scientists who are interested in their work and willing to cooperate.
Taking into account the research and service tasks of the respective core facility, ACEM aims to promote interaction between the BUA partners and young scientists, to standardize access and to systematically develop and expand the jointly used EM service facility.
Anyone who operates an electron microscope, belongs to one of the alliance partners and makes the EM infrastructure available to the BUA scientific community can become a member of the Alliance Center Electron Microscopy.
Operators of EM equipment can apply for membership to the ACEM spokesperson.
