Together as a team, we are tackling the challenges of participatory science: therefore, we can draw on a great wealth of experience from different work contexts, subject areas and expertise. Together, we passionately drive forward transdisciplinary research, stand up for its stakeholders and support participatory work processes and collaborations.
Transdisciplinary work does not require a uniform procedure – rather, it is a research style that embraces a variety of methods and through which various actors are involved in the different phases of a research process. In participatory and transdisciplinary research, the perspectives, experiences, learning processes as well as the (self-)empowerment of those who participate in it are fundamentally central. Relevant non-scientific and scientific actors, practice experts and civil society work together as heterogeneous knowledge carriers and process participants to investigate complex, real-world problems. Co-exploration, co-design and co-production of knowledge are therefore important stages of research.
