Science communication is one of the three central pillars of the Knowledge Exchange strategy of Berlin University Alliance. The excellence alliance has set the goal of promoting the participation of and exchange with societal partners in the research process, increasing the credibility of research and facilitating free access to research results.
From April 2021 until December 2024, a total of six projects were funded as experimental laboratories for science communication. In this interdisciplinary projects executed by research groups, communicative ideas are developed using an innovative approach and new formats of exchange are tested out for target groups that have largely been ignored in the past. The focus of this call for Experimental Science Communication Laboratories is on the development and practical implementation of new models and methods for science communication.
