In diesem interaktiven Workshop führen wir in die Themen Forschungsqualität und Gute Wissenschaftliche Praxis (GWP) ein und diskutieren gemeinsam den methodisch-konzeptionellen Rahmen anhand konkreter Beispiele, die zentrale Schwierigkeiten im Bereich der Sicherung von Forschungsqualität und -integrität verdeutlichen.

• Was heißt Forschungsqualität?
• Wie kann ich die Qualität meiner Forschung verbessern?
• Was hat es mit der GWP auf sich und warum betrifft mich das?

Diese und andere Fragen sind Bestandteil des Workshops, denen wir uns gemeinsam mit den Kursteilnehmer*innen interaktiv und spielerisch nähern. Am Ende des Workshops kennen die Teilnehmer*innen die zentralen Diskussionen und Problemlagen im Bereich Forschungsqualität und -integrität – selbstverständlich nicht ohne praktische Tipps für den Umgang in der eigenen Forschung und im Studium.  

Nele Hofmann ist Referentin für Forschungsqualität und ist seit vielen Jahren im Bereich der Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsforschung beschäftigt. Viktor Ullmann ist Referent für Open Science und Forschungsqualität und war zuvor in dem Projekt OBUA – Ombudswesen@BUA tätig. Zusammen arbeiten sie im Team des Center for Open and Responsible Research (CORe) der Berlin University Alliance.

Research quality and good scientific practice: What could possibly go wrong?

In this interactive workshop, we will introduce the topics of research quality and good scientific practice and discuss the methodological and conceptual framework together with the participants using concrete examples that illustrate key difficulties in the area of ensuring research quality and integrity.

• What does research quality mean?
• How can I improve the quality of my research?
• What is Good Scientific Practice all about and why  or how does it affect me?

 These and other questions are part of the workshop, which we approach interactively and playfully together with the course participants. At the end of the workshop, the participants will be familiar with the central discussions and problems in the field of research quality and integrity - not without practical tips for dealing with them in their own research and studies.

Nele Hofmann is a scientific coordinator for research quality and has been working in the field of higher education and science research for many years. Viktor Ullmann is a scientific coordinator for open science and research quality and was previously involved in the OBUA - Ombudswesen@BUA project. Together they work in the team of the Center for Open and Responsible Research (CORe) of the Berlin University Alliance.
