Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is a Professor of Structural Biology at Imperial College London where, since 2017, he has also served as the university’s first Assistant Provost for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. In this role he has developed Imperial’s EDI Strategy and led university-wide efforts to advance gender equality, race equality, and support for LGBT and disabled staff and students. For many years he has also been a writer and campaigner on a range of scientific issues including open access, research assessment, research funding and science policy. He is currently chair of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which has drawn attention to the intersections between research evaluation reform and the drive for equity within the academy.
